"Having learned that the deliverer was wearing a spear-proof vest, Whorly-head realized that his job could me made infinitely easier if he could concentrate on the gangplank which the deliverer would have to use to come ashore. Thus, moments before the Chinese junk got berthed at the harbor, he instructed the SHITers to forget about the hit-goat and simply position themselves at the very edge of the pier, two or three on each side of the gangplank. The closed-in security escorts were to make sure that the deliverer walked the gangplank with them and that none of the international chronicoglers was let out of the Chinese junk, or even allowed to follow close behind. Once the escorts neared the end of the gangplank, they would let go of the deliverer and quickly jump onto the pier either side of it to raise the gangplank, throwing the deliverer overboard.
